Chase returned to Kingsport Speedway for the first time in 2021 and what a day / night it was. Chase was fast in early practice and P2 in the first official practice. He claimed his first pole of 2021 after being so close at Hickory the past two outings with a time of 14.992.
He took the green flag for race one and led flag to flag claiming his first Late Model Win of 2021. Race number two he was inverted to 8th per NASCAR rule. Chase used patience as he passed cars one by one and made it up to P3 with 10 to go and by that time he had built up a lot of heat in the brakes and that's where he finished.
“ These late model races are so hard to win. When you get finally get one, it’s definitely a good feeling,” Dixon said. “We had a good run the first race. If I could have gotten through the slower traffic the second race, I feel like we would have come out better, but that’s part of it.”
Chase will always cherish all the memories and success he has had at Kingsport and wants to say a huge Thank You to all the fans that has come out to cheer him on over the years and especially last night (we heard you up there). We hope to see you at a track soon.
Thank You Sonny Brown and his Granddaughter for coming down to participate in Victory Lane. Sonny of Quality Heat and Air has been a very big supporter of Chase for the last two season and we appreciate everything he's done.
